NEET paper leak

NEET PAPER LEAK :

Petitioner Anshul Sharma is likely to file a fresh petition in the Uttarakhand High Court by August 16.

The Supreme Court has on August 9 refused to interfere in the plea seeking probe by the Uttarakhand Police into the alleged NEET paper leak. The petition was mentioned by senior advocate Sanjay Hedge. However, the court had granted permission to the petitioner to approach the Uttarakhand High Court
.
Dr Anand Rai, RTI activist and the whistleblowler of Vyapam scam, is supporting the case. “By Friday, the petition in the Uttarakhand High Court will be filed. Besides, an application by Anshul Sharma will be sent to the Lodha Committee asking the basis on which CBSE has been given a clean chit,” said Rai.

On Wednesday, he filed an RTI seeking details of communication between CBSE with the Justice Lodha Committee. “We want to know what material was placed before the Committee by the CBSE and a copy of the answer keys of the NEET question paper,” said Dr Anand Rai.

NEET phase 2 was conducted on July 24.

Haldwani Police had arrested five people in connection with the paper leak case on July 23, a day before NEET 2. Around 4,500 candidates had appeared for the examination from seven centres in Haldwani.

CBSE, which had rejected the claim of paper leak, had conduced the NEET phase 2 examination on July 24 while NEET 1 was held on May 1. The combined results of NEET 1 and NEET 2 has been declared on August 16.
